Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using Adhan: Prayer Times, Qibla & Salah Tracker (the "App"), developed and operated by Svelte Solutions (SMC-Private) Limited ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. This document also serves as the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the App.

2. Description of the App

Adhan is an application for iPhone and Android that calculates daily prayer times for your location, shows the Qibla direction, sends prayer alerts and an optional Fajr alarm, helps you keep a private log of your prayers and streaks, offers home-screen widgets (and Lock Screen widgets on iPhone), and includes Focus, which can pause or block apps you choose during prayer time. The App is available free of charge, with an optional premium upgrade, "Adhan Pro," that unlocks additional features.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices that you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the usage rules of the store you obtained it from: the Usage Rules of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions for the App Store, or the Google Play Terms of Service for Google Play. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.

4. Prayer Times and Qibla Accuracy

Prayer times are calculated from your location, the date, and the calculation method and adjustments you choose. The Qibla direction depends on your device's compass, which can be affected by nearby metal, magnets, or electronics. Calculated times can differ from those announced by your local mosque or authority. Please treat the App as a helpful guide and confirm times with your local mosque when it matters. We are not responsible for any act of worship performed early, late, or in a particular direction based on the App.

5. Alerts, Alarms and Focus

• Prayer alerts and the Fajr Alarm rely on your device's notification and alarm systems. Their delivery can be affected by your device settings, Focus or Do Not Disturb modes, battery optimisation, or operating system behavior, and we cannot guarantee that every alert or alarm will sound
• Focus pauses or blocks apps you choose: on iPhone through Apple's Screen Time frameworks, and on Android by showing the App's own block screen over those apps, using the Usage access and Display over other apps permissions you grant. It is a self-help tool that you control. With Strict Mode on, blocked apps cannot be snoozed and Focus settings stay locked until you mark the prayer as prayed or the block's time limit ends. You remain responsible for keeping access to anything you may need urgently, and you can remove Adhan's access in your device's settings at any time

6. Adhan Pro, Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Adhan Pro is offered as auto-renewing monthly and annual subscriptions and as a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are managed through RevenueCat and processed by the Apple App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android. The plans, prices, and any free trial are shown in the App before you buy and may vary by region. By making a purchase, you agree that:

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the price shown, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends
• You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple Account or Google Play subscription settings, or from Settings in the App. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription
• The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment tied to the store account you used and can be restored with "Restore purchases" in the App on the same platform
• Purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or the store's policies
• We may change pricing or the features included in the free version and Adhan Pro at any time; existing purchases and current subscription periods are not affected

Billing is handled by the store you bought from. For refunds, follow Apple's process at reportaproblem.apple.com for App Store purchases, or Google Play's refund process for Google Play purchases.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services. Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies:

• Apple MapKit (iPhone) and the Android Geocoder (Android) — look up the name of your city from your location
• Apple Screen Time (iPhone) — powers Focus on your device
• RevenueCat — manages in-app purchases and subscription status; processes an anonymous user identifier
• Apple App Store and Google Play — app distribution, payments, and the review prompt

We are not responsible for the practices or content of these third-party services.

8. User Responsibilities

When using the App, you agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes
• Not copy, sell, lease, or distribute the App, and not remove or obscure proprietary notices in it
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App, except to the extent that applicable law or the open-source licenses described in Section 9 give you that right
• Not attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the App's features or purchase verification

9. Intellectual Property and Open-Source Software

The App, including its design, graphics, user interface, and original code, is the intellectual property of Svelte Solutions (SMC-Private) Limited and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws, except for the open-source components described below.

The App includes open-source software, including the Adhan prayer-time libraries (adhan-swift on iPhone, adhan2 on Android) and the RevenueCat SDK, which are distributed under the MIT License; on Android, the AndroidX (Jetpack) libraries, which are distributed under the Apache License 2.0; and the Plus Jakarta Sans, Playfair Display, and Amiri typefaces, which are distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under those licenses for those components.

10. Data and Local Storage

Your prayer log, streaks, settings, and Focus selections are stored locally on your device. We do not back up this data to our own servers. You are responsible for any data loss resulting from uninstalling the App, resetting your device, or device failure. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all locally stored data. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account or Google Account and can be restored.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Adhan is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that its calculations will match any particular authority.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Svelte Solutions (SMC-Private) Limited and the Adhan developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, alerts or alarms that do not sound, or any other losses arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Apple and Google

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Neither Apple nor Google is responsible for the App or its content, has an obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, or is responsible for any claims relating to it. If you obtained the App from the App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

14. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or restrict access for any reason, including conduct that violates these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends, and locally stored data is deleted if you uninstall. Adhan Pro purchases remain associated with your Apple Account or Google Account.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Svelte Solutions (SMC-Private) Limited is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
